Ever since we started, The Spark Project was intended to be more than just a crowdfunding website. It is a collective collaboration between project creators and their backers, between local brands and their consumers, between artists and their audience, between causes and their advocates.
Our goal is to nurture a thriving independent entrepreneurial community not only by exhibiting the work of emerging creatives but also providing the much needed support systems for those who otherwise have none.
We’re mounting the first annual Spark Festival. It is our way of celebrating The Spark Community who has been with us and grown with us since we started. We’re going to show the best of The Spark Project to date. Aside from our growing community of Spark Alumni Projects, there will be food, music, and other things that can inspires us to create awesome stuff. We’ll also invite some of our favorite people to share their most inspiring stories with the community.
We’ve sparked camera bags, craft beer, a board game, coffee and so much more. We’ve helped rehabilitated a river, painted school walls, and restored heritage houses. I must say we’ve truly sparked a lot of awesome and good through the years. And this wouldn’t have been possible if not for the crowd who reached down their pockets and made these projects a reality.
True to what we do and believing in the power of the crowd, we are crowdsourcing this event to life!
We’re raising P150,000 to get The Spark Festival off the ground. To make this campaign a truly memorable one, we’re putting together a Mystery Box that contains special items from the best spark brands. Some of our coolest alumni projects are already on board and each brand is coming up with something special which we’ll all put inside a mystery box in exchange for your support. You shouldn’t miss this one.
We're also collaborating with Gouache as we launch the Spark x Gouache bag, a bag designed with the creative entrepreneur in mind. For those who want to get a hand on this bag before anyone else, this will be available as a reward. I tell you, this will be worth it.
Aside from the Festival, 2017 we're working extra hard to make this year our best year yet. We're giving our website a fresh new look and offering new crowd financing models for non-profits and scale-ups. We're also expanding up our community learning events to more cities this year so we can reach more creative entrepreneurs. Anything we get in excess of our funding goal will help expand the community to different cities across the Philippines.
We think it’s going to one awesome celebration. Everyone will be there, all your future friends will be there.
