Now a Bag x Organizer that matches the versatility of your GoPro. World-class quality, Proudly Filipino.
ZIG is a bag x organizer designed specifically for GoPro Cameras. It allows you to carry up to two (2) GoPros cameras, with all of its mounts and accessories, everywhere you go. It also comes with a built-in organizer that enables you to set-up your GoPro, where you need it, when you need it.
ZIG is designed for versatility. It can be attached to a backpack, a bicycle, a motorcycle, etc. AND can also be a carry-on, a sling bag and a body bag – a perfect match to the versatility and mobility of the GoPro camera.
ZIG has world-class quality, and is proudly Filipino. Each unit is handcrafted and assembled by the exceptional bag makers of Mariveles, Bataan. Mariveles has quickly been known as one of the bag making capitals of the Philippines: creating bags and luggage for both local and international companies. This product uses only world class, high quality materials: the same or at par with the materials being used to make international brands of bags and luggage.
We envision for ZIG to be distributed not only here in the Philippines, but also in other countries. As a first step, we aim to raise Php 80,000.00 to start the production of the initial inventory of ZIG. The funds that will be raised will cover the raw materials and labor, and will enable us to continue creating this awesome product.
Also, supporting this campaign will help create more business for the exceptional bag makers of Mariveles, Bataan.
It was a solution to MY problem
When you buy a GoPro, it comes with a lot of accessories and mounts out of the box. You still need to buy a lot more of these accessories for you to be able to use your GoPro in different activities.
So when I bought mine, it left me with the problem of storing everything – and it was pretty chaotic. And since GoPro cameras are fairly new, especially here in the Philippines, the choices of bags and ways to carry GoPros are still very limited, and frankly, disappointing. This led me to design a bag that would fit mostly everything I need to set-up my GoPro anywhere, and at the same time, provide a means to organize the many accessories that come with it. Also, I want the product to be versatile, so I could easily bring it with me when I hike, surf, travel, or wherever I want to go.
Thus, the idea for ZIG was born.
A vision of creating PROUDLY FILIPINO world-class products
As one of the Export Processing Zones in the Philippines, Mariveles,Bataan is home to many bags and luggage factories. Brands like Jansport, Columbia, Camelbak, Timbuk2, etc. were actually made in Mariveles – by locals who work in factories that ship and sell bags abroad to big international corporations. These international brands, then, export these bags to other countries (including the Philippines), and we, in turn, purchase these bags in malls at HUGE mark up: justifying that they’re well-made and of good quality because they are “imported”.
We have the talent and the capacity to create world-class products, we just need the OPPORTUNITY.
The ZIGs would be delivered to the project backers 4 to 5 weeks after the end of ZIG’s campaign. Production would start immediately after the campaign.
We already had several production runs for the prototypes, and we do not see any problems meeting the orders. But if any issue surfaces, we will be very transparent and will communicate with you personally through email (or possibly through phone or in person) to address it.
Please check the Project Updates page for important announcements and updates.
Also, we are planning to create a community discussion page in Facebook for the backers as a “feedback loop” and for further discussions (and requests) for future CarrierPro products. We do hope that our relationship doesn’t end with ZIG, and we would love for YOU to be involved in everything that we do and create at CarrierPro :)
